What Happens at Camp?
The Camp Theme this year is “Western Round-Up” and we will gallop around exploring The Trefoil Ranch, The Wild Frontier and The Gold Mine before heading back to the GS Corral for a Rockin Rodeo on Friday.
Campers are assigned to a unit of 12 – 16 campers going into the same grade. Each unit has two adult Unit Leaders. This group stays together for the entire week so the girls bond and make new friends. Our program staff of adults and Program Aides will assist the Unit Leaders with a variety of activities during the day. The girls will have activities throughout the day, with a little down time built in to just have fun with their unit. They will come home tired and excited at the same time, looking forward to coming back the next day.
Will it be Fun?
Yes, of course!!! All week long the girls will participate in age appropriate nature, craft and skills activities. There will be opportunities for Archery, Outdoor Cooking, Nature Activities, Hiking, Girl Scout Skills, Arts & Crafts, Singing, Making New Friends and MORE!!
Older girls will have the opportunity to have an overnight(s) where the evening program will include a skits, s’mores and a traditional campfire Scouts Own Ceremony before spending the night at Camp.
We have an all camp event planned for Friday afternoon to close camp on a high note. There will be a rodeo themed lunch followed by an afternoon of wide games. This is a time for the entire camp to come together and celebrate their accomplishments at camp and being Girl Scouts.
